ABOUT CHASE's Carpet & Blinds

Chase's Carpet & Blinds, Inc. is a woman owned business. I, Shelley Ann Sanborn, CEO am a 3rd Generation following my father & mother Chase & Bev Sanborn running the business for over 20 years. My grandparents John & Sunny Boomer had a laundromat "Boomer's" in San Pablo in the 60's. My grandfather found out about this new type of industry "Steam Carpet Cleaning" in his industry of cleaning area rugs at his laundromat and that wall to wall carpet was becoming a standard in homes being built. Well he brought on my parents and my dad Chase was to be trained as one of the first in this trade by Steam Way.

Celebrating 50 years of Chase's CARPET & BLINDS

We were one of the first companies in the Bay Area to be using portable "hot water extraction" machines. The black and white photo is my dad Chase & grandfather John with the crew when it all started. The business was established in San Pablo moved to Pinole then I moved the business to Benicia in 1999. Through the years being in a family run business and from a long line of entrepreneurs, a time came where in a time of my life at 25 years old, I took over the company. A women owner in a male dominated industry. I was introduced to Ultrasonic Blind Cleaning through our industry conventions and saw a technology that would work side by side with the carpet, upholstery & area rug business! I purchased the State of the Art Ultrasonic Blind Cleaning Tanks and received training and knowledge. This was the new cleaning method that we could offer along with repairing window coverings and becoming a Hunter Douglas Dealer to sell all types of window coverings.


We are proudly celebrating "50" years of service in the Bay Area.

What a great experience. They repaired our broken 12 year old Hunter Douglas top down bottom up shade. We had spent hours at home trying to fix it ourselves without success. We dropped off the blind and requested a quick turnaround and they got it done in one business day for a very reasonable price. Is 10 stars an option??? I called in the morning and brought my Hunter-Douglas Duette blind in for repair at 12pm. I was so happy that it was done in 2 hours. I appreciate the rush job as this is for the bedroom and I do not want to get up with the sun.

Two strings broke on our 12' Hunter-Douglas Easy Rise shade. I took a look and the spindle looked really complicated and nothing on U-Tube was similar. Took it to our local shade shop - no help and would need to to send to H-D for repair. Checked in on the H-D web site and did live chat - very helpful and suggested Chases - authorized H-D service center. Took blind over - no problem and ready in two days. On time and on budget. Glad we got this expensive shade repaired.

They also are in the Hunter Douglas window coverings business, sales and service.
